Our progressive faith has devoted significant resources over multiple decades toward expanding our understanding of, respect for, and significant progress toward greater inclusion of people who have been historically left out and behind and on the margins of society.
UU Class Conversations helps congregations and organizations better understand the strengths and challenges of class differences and of each class background. In workshops and through other learning opportunities, participants develop language, concepts, and strategies to bridge class differences and issues, while considering the intersection between class and race and other issues of oppression. We will help you learn to avoid the miscommunication and distrust that can weaken our faith communiy’s efforts to build strong coalitions for social change. Cross-class communication helps strengthen our commitment to social justice and our effectiveness in making change.
