Join UU Class Conversations facilitators Dr. Kimberly Arias, Denise Moorehead and Diane Pansire to explore the relationship between classism and U.S. policies that are being influenced by a group of billionaires and contribute to growing economic and cultural divisions.
This workshop expands our work explore the impact of social class, classism and economic inequality within UU congregations and the broader society, particularly during the current “new Gilded Age” characterized by the rising power of billionaires. In this workshop, you will examine the ways that U.S. billionaires are calling the shots on economic and social policy. Together, we will consider strategies to push back and lead the way towards a more class-inclusive society. Come explore ways to confront classism, build class alliances, and organize our congregations to create class-inclusive, sacred spaces within and outside of our denomination. For GA attendees, we hope you will take part in this interactive Zoom workshop.
